Site Requirements

Before you begin, it is important that you have reliable and fast access to the information, software, tools and services that this system can provide.

Ensuring that you have the right software installed and the correct display settings on your computer will ensure your experience of the system is as favourable as possible.


Software Requirements

 The software requirements needed to view our system in its entirety include:
• Windows 98 or better
• Internet Explorer 6.0 or above / Mozilla Firefox 1.5 or above
• Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (JVM), if Internet Explorer is installed


To check if Microsoft® JVM is installed, follow the steps below:
1. Select Run from the Start button.
2. Type wjview and click OK.
3. If JVM is installed, a dialog box entitled “WJView Help” is displayed; and so you don’t need to install JVM.

However if JVM is not previously installed, a dialog box is displayed showing “wjview cannot be found” in this case you need to install JVM.


To install JVM:
1. For Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows Vista (click here)
2. Macromedia Flash Player 5 or above (click here)
3. Quicktime Player 5 or above (click here)


Display Settings

The system is optimised for a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels or higher.

You can edit your screen resolution by following the steps below:
1. Minimise all open programs
2. Right-click on the desktop and select Properties
3. Select the Settings tab
4. Set Screen Resolution to 1024x768 or higher
5. Click OK
6. If asked whether or not you would like to keep these settings, click Yes

If you are running a lower resolution then you may need to scroll left and right using the scroll bar.
